COPPERHEART: THE BLUE SILVER CHRONICLES (NEW Series)

COPPERHEART: FLIGHT OF THE BLUE SILVER follows the crew of a small inter-dimensional vessel that can traverse time and space. They call it “Ripple Skipping,” and as far as they know, the Blue Silver is the only vessel that can do it. The crew of the Blue Silver includes Cardon Ashton, the gruff but pragmatic captain, a human; Beema, an alien-human hybrid with a brilliant head on her shoulders; EDN-6318 (“Enmity”), a Copperheart automaton and “brother” to Copperheart’s EDeN; Dr. Aggregate, a “quantum species” that transmorphs into random living forms. When “female,” they call themselves “Aggie,” when “male,” “Greg.” Throughout the series the crew ventures to various realities, finding items that are ordinary in one reality in order to sell them at a profit in realities where they’re rare. The Blue Silver Chronicles, a science fiction comedy, will air as it’s own series, an extension of tales beyond Shattered Echoes that WILL have ties with the previous incarnations of the show.

COPPERHEART: SHATTERED ECHOES (Anthology Series)

COPPERHEART: SHATTERED ECHOES is an anthology series of stories that take place after COPPERHEART, with some stories potentially overlapping existing and future stories. These episodes will have a wide range of subject matter, but every story will be geared toward an adult audience, with potential mature language and situations. Please keep that in mind as you audition. COPPERHEART: SHATTERED ECHOES is an audio drama that will distribute from copperheart.libsyn.com through Apple Podcasts / iTunes, Spotify, Castbox, YouTube (audio only), and most anywhere you find podcasts. The series will continue on the same podcast feed as the current COPPERHEART.

(IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ)
NOTES REGARDING ALL AUDITIONS AND SUBMISSIONS:

LOCATION: Remote. Lines will be recorded and sent via email, Google Drive link, Dropbox, etc.

CONTRACT: Non-union, unpaid.

EXPERIENCE: No experience necessary, but the first hurdle will be quality recording equipment. Auditions with poor audio will be immediately rejected.

TO AUDITION:
1 ) Select an Available Role from the list below. Be sure to read through everything needed for that role.
2) Record the “Test Lines” given for that role (MP3 is fine, no more than 3 takes each, and you are welcome to ad-lib the final take).
3) Email lines, along with any questions regarding the role or production, to riggstories@gmail. Use the CHARACTER NAME as your subject line. You may include biographical information, and experience (if any), but that’s not required. Address email to the attention of Michael J. Rigg, Producer.
4) If you are a minor auditioning for a role, please include contact information for a parent or guardian. Since RiggStories productions are of a “mature” nature, parental/guardian permission will be required for voice actors under the age of 18.
5) You will be contacted within 7-14 days of receipt of the test lines and given further instructions, thanked for your time (with notes), or given a script for a callback read. You may send a second email of inquiry (without attachments) to verify receipt of your submission (or use the form on the CONTACT ME page).

COPPERHEART (ENTIRE SERIES! RECURRING CHARACTER!)

CHARACTER BIO:
“The Harmony” / “The Carpenters” / “Lords of Medri” / Various names.
The voice actor will be playing two roles, one with a higher voice register (with additional slight pitch as needed), and one with a lower register (with additional pitch down as needed). The reason for one actor to play both male and female voices is the characters joined by thought, sometimes harmonizing their speech patterns.

The Harmony takes the form of a Victorian Age couple, very measured in speech, prim and proper by behavior, and very cold and calculating. They will be the “villain” of the series going forward, making this a role that will be reprised many times over the life of the series.

VOICE INFO:
Vocal Gender: OPEN (Higher voices will be pitched down for half the role, lower will be pitched up. See notes above). If you can audition with the ability to speak in a range of registers, that’s even better! The less pitching needed the better!
Vocal Age: 20-50 (OPEN)
Vocal Accent(s): OPEN
Vocal Cadence: OPEN
Vocal Processing: This voice will have adjustments made (as needed) to differentiate the two distinct characters the actor will portray. Additional modifications may be used at times (“low demonic rumbling,” “angelic extra harmony choir”, etc.).

TEST LINES (Before recording, see “TO AUDITION” above):
LOW VOICE (Coldly Cruel): “So, we meet again, captain… (cold laugh) …You have so much to learn about being…human (‘human’ is sarcastic)”
HIGH VOICE (Coldly Cruel): “But you’re not really human at all, are you?”
LOW VOICE (Shocked after * ): “I don’t think we have time to— * What!? It can’t be! You were dead! I saw you die!”
HIGH VOICE (Shocked): “/I/ saw you die! We /both/ saw you die!… (darkly:) …Maybe I should kill you myself!”
HIGH VOICE (Introspective/Sad): “I have technically lived for thousands of generations. No one has any idea how many pleasures—and pains—I’ve experienced. I don’t know how much more I can stand.”
LOW VOICE (Introspective/Sad): “I have technically lived for thousands of generations. No one has any idea how many pleasures—and pains—I’ve experienced. I don’t know how much more I can stand.” (same line as above, but in a lighter voice)

IMPORTANT NOTE:
If you answer this casting call, please understand that this is an ongoing primary adversary who lives on in all past, current, and future iterations. This is NOT a one shot.
